Frontier AI for a $2 trillion industry
Why construction needs an intelligence layer, what we are building, why it compounds, and where we are today.
The intelligence layer a $2 trillion industry is missing
U.S. construction puts more than $2 trillion of work in place every year, and most contractors still find out a job is losing money from a spreadsheet rebuilt after month-end close. The data to know sooner already exists — it is spread across an ERP, a project platform, payroll and a schedule that were never built to talk to each other.
What we are building
Frontier AI for construction. Constructelligence reads a contractor's own accounting, project, payroll and field systems, read-only, maps them into one construction data model, and forecasts every job weekly — which jobs are going over, why, and what to do about it. An agent then does the follow-up work — the owner email, the RFI, the pay application, the cost-to-complete sheet — and waits for a person to approve it.
Why it compounds
- The data model is the product. Each new connector maps into the same model, so every existing view and forecast works on it from day one — and each one makes the platform more valuable to every customer who runs that system.
- Proprietary data. Our forecasting and language models are trained on proprietary data general-purpose models do not see. They stay proprietary and run inside the product.
- Trust is the moat in this market. Contractors do not give software write access to their books. Read-only connectors, drafts that wait for approval, and cloud or self-hosted deployment are what get a finance team to say yes.
- Distribution through the work itself. Seventy-plus free guides, sixteen calculators and open tools answer the questions contractors search for every day, and point back to the platform that does the same arithmetic on live data.
Where we are
Private beta, onboarding contractors a few at a time. Live today: a direct ERP connection (Sage 300 CRE), a QuickBooks Desktop mirror, public bid feeds and a JSON API; Procore, Autodesk, SAP, Viewpoint and more are in build, each with its status published. Our open work — nine GitHub repositories and five lite models on Hugging Face — and ConstructBench, our benchmark for construction AI, are public.
